Heist Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 June 2026

The short version: Heist does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your data. Everything Heist does happens locally, inside your browser, on your device. There are no Zaiq servers involved, no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts.

Heist is a Chrome extension built by Zaiq, an AI engineering studio. It lets you inspect and copy the visual design (typography, colour, spacing, shadows, gradients, and the HTML and CSS of an element) of a web page you are viewing.

What Heist accesses

When you turn Heist on (by clicking its toolbar icon or pressing Alt+Shift+H), it reads the structure and computed styles of the page in your active tab, so it can show you and let you copy that page's design. Heist only does this on the tab you are actively using, and only after you switch it on. It does nothing in the background.

Data we collect

None. Heist does not collect or send any personal or usage data. Specifically:

Permissions, and why Heist asks for them

Heist requests no broad host permissions. It runs on a site only when you explicitly turn it on there.

Where your data lives

Anything Heist produces (CSS, Tailwind classes, design tokens, component HTML, or a design-system export) is shown to you and copied to your clipboard or downloaded by you. Any small preferences are kept in your browser's own local storage, on your device. None of it is transmitted to Zaiq or to any third party.

Third parties

Heist shares no data with third parties, because it collects no data and makes no network requests to any server for its functionality.

Children

Heist is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Heist works, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
